Dr. Thomas Hospel


TomThomas G. Hospel, M.D., M.B.A

Dr. Hospel is board certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. His Family Medicine training occurred at the University of Wisconsin with a Sports Medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University. In 2007, he was named the medical director for the PGA TOUR's Anti-doping program. He helped the PGA TOUR develop a comprehensive drug testing program and provides extensive support in the education of the PGA and LPGA TOUR member players regarding the anti-doping program. He is the Chairman of the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee. Dr. Hospel maintains a busy medical practice in Dublin, Ohio where he serves as the medical director. The practice provides sports medicine services to athletes ranging from the professional level to the weekend warrior. Prior to entering into his current practice, Dr. Hospel was a team physician for The Ohio State University from 1998-2004. He was actively involved with the care of the student athletes for the largest Division I sports program in the country. Dr. Hospel’s interests include helping athletes reach their peak performance through psychology, nutrition, sports specific training and injury prevention.
